Inter linked Daniel Sturridge appears set to remain in Premier League according to the latest reports coming out of the United Kingdom.

According to the Times, the 28-year-old Englishman has chosen a stay in his native league over joining Inter due to the fact he believes he has more of a chance in making the England squad for this summer’s World Cup by playing in the Premier League over Serie A.

Newcastle United and West Brom are rivalling one another to sign the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker. Liverpool are expecting interested parties to cough up around €1.5 million for the loan and cover the player’s £120,000 a week salary in full for the duration of the loan.

Sturridge was viewed by Inter as a potential vice to club captain and star man Mauro Icardi but reports have suggested any potential move was to be determined by Eder’s future at the Nerazzurri.
