Argentina national team manager Jorge Sampaoli has started the process of speaking to potential call-ups for his squad for the upcoming World Cup this summer in Russia.
Sampaoli has spoken to PSG duo Giovanni Lo Celso and Angel Di Maria with regard to playing in an attacking midfield role for the Albiceleste. However, the former Sevilla manager has not spoken to their teammate Javier Pastore according to TyC Sports.
The 28-year-old has stressed a desire to suit up for the two time World champions in Russia but Sampaoli’s snub would suggest he is not currently being thought about.
This whole situation could massively help Inter’s bid to land the former Palermo man, who will now be pushing harder to secure a move away in order to get far more playing time than he is currently being afforded in the French capital in order to force his way in to the Argentina team.
