Inter have officially confirmed the departure of Yuto Nagatomo to Turkish giants Galatasaray through way of a statement posted on the official club website.

“FC Internazionale Milano can announce that Yuto Nagatomo has joined Galatasaray SK on loan until 30th June 2018.

“The Japanese full-back was signed by Inter in January 2011 and made 210 appearances overall, scoring eleven goals in a Nerazzurri shirt. He was also part of the side which won the Coppa Italia in the 2009-10 season,” the statement reads in full.

The 31-year-old underwent – and passed – his medical with the Istanbul club earlier today and it is understood that there is no option for the Turkish giants to turn the move permanent.

The long serving defender had also already bid farewell to the Nerazzurri faithful hours prior to the confirmation and also wished the team the best of luck in their bid to qualify for the Champions League next season.
