Turkish giants Galatasaray are edging closer to securing the signature of Inter full-back Yuto Nagatomo, with the Japanese international having arrived in Istanbul earlier today.

The Lions are set to sign the much-maligned Nerazzurri wide man on an initial loan deal worth €1 million, while they will have an option to make the move permanent in the summer for a fee in the region of €7-8 million.

Indeed, the Turks have confirmed that negotiations are well underway and it seems they will complete a deal before close of business today. Meanwhile, the former Cesena man posted a message to Beneamata fans on Twitter proclaiming his heartfelt thanks for their support over the last seven years.

As things stand, Nagatomo is of course the Milanese giants’ longest-serving player but, to the delight of many, he now seems to be on the verge of accepting a new challenge under the tutelage of Fatih Terim.
