Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has delved further into the details of Javier Pastore’s proposed transfer deadline day move from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter.

Indeed, they suggest that it will cost the Nerazzurri €10 million to sign the Argentine on loan until the end of the season: €5 million fee to the Parisians and €5m in wages. They also, quite rightly, suggest that this is a huge outlay for someone to play a mere 16 matches between now and May.

Of course, it is the club’s intention to pay a further €25 million to bring him to Milan on a permanent basis in the summer, but the principle financial concerns remains.

Meanwhile, Luciano Spalletti is said to favour the arrival of a defensive midfielder who would provide the team with greater balance between the two phases of play. That said, he is also keen to add a great deal more creativity to his side.

Atlético Madrid attacking midfielder Nicolás Gaitán remains an alternative, though reaching a deal with Los Colchoneros will not be easy.
