This game was a good opportunity to try freshness (Pinamonti) and unpredictability (Rafinha) but Spalletti seems to be full of fear. He may as well sub Brizo for Gaglia and Dalbert for Santon if he wants a team with zero creativity. Eder’s goal was lucky as f–k, I don’t think he was even aiming for goal. The team is playing bad and Crotone is starting to gain confidence.

I’ve been saying this for the past 2yrs, I would like to see a 442 with Icardi+Eder uptop at times. I remember the one yr Icardi played extremely well when it was him+Palacio uptop, and he’s gotten way better since then.
Icardi has always flourished in a two man attack. With Palacio, Eder and heck even Osvaldo before everything went to shit.
Ah yes, him and Osvaldo looked good but that ended quickly. Would’ve been interesting to see that play out for a whole season.
They had some pretty good numbers if I remember, something like 12 goals between the two in 7 matches.

When he leaves those people will actually wish he was still here. We’re gunna be buying alot of mediocre strikers for the next 4yrs, until we find a decent one.

Think some people need to chill tf out, posting some wild comments every game day. Same goes during the weekday when rumors get posted. You guys get taken on an emotional ride by the media on a day to day basis… We are still top 4, not giving up many goals, and have only lost twice.
That being said, the lineup is not bad considering Icardi is out and what our options are on the bench. Only real issue is Cancelo on bench. Candreva unfortunately should start since we have no Icardi. Need experience uptop, can’t start Kamaroh+Pina. Would’ve preferred Pina for Eder but feel like he’ll come in and play anyways.

I kind of agree with the decision to play Candreva given we will be playing slightly differently with Eder in the mix and think his mobility in the box could benefit Candreva’s game…
Spalletti needs to have a clear Plan B that he puts into action as soon as the second half starts if things aren’t working…he is too stingy and stubborn with substitutions…we keep talking about lack of depth off the bench but lets be honest here besides bringing Eder on as first change Spalletti hasn’t really given anyone else a decent shot…
A day without Icardi might be what we need. He hasn’t been in the game and his feud with Peresic has affected our attack massively.

No I don’t think we should be even contemplating giving Spalletti the boot…he wasn’t given any form of support via the transfer market and given the squad he has on hand he has done a great job…my main problem with him at the moment is that he is being very stubborn about certain things that are clearly not working for Inter:
– We need to develop a style of play…its seems we don’t really have much of a plan other than crossing into the box and hoping Icardi makes something happen
– I know he loves Borja but he really slows down the pace of the game and I feel we would be better benching him against smaller teams where we need quick transitions of play to create goal scoring opportunities
– Eder should not always be the first change off the bench….it has never worked and there are other options which offer more variety that he can be differing to at times
– I thought he was grossly underutilizing Cancelo and Dalbert…it seemed that he got the memo on Cancelo but then he inexplicitly benched him today…starting Dalbert today hope that isn’t a one-off and he gets some game time
– Karamoh and Pinamonti have been grossly underutilized and should be given more game time as they are the future of Inter. Emmers is on the bench and if there is an opportunity he should get a few minutes as he together with Zainolo have been great for the Primavera…

There’s really no issue with our def, we’ve only given up 17goals (tied for 3rd) which is fantastic stat. For once these past several yrs I’m not worried about our def… Goals is the issue, only 37 for a top 5 team in any league is extremely poor.

Cancelo has been our best rb (the only fb who blocks opponents’ pull-outs, can dribble, can cross and actually have a genuine football brain), but guess what he pushed him to lb ahead of proper lbs in the team.
Don’t get me started on the stupid glowing tributes he paid to Santon (the walking corpse who triggered our slump against Udinese with 2 beautiful assists for the Zebrette). Brozo should start, considering what we have at MF… We shouldn’t be starting Vecino+Gag (only 1) so either Brozo of Rafinha should take one of their spots. Figure Brozo starts for a couple games until Rafinha is ready.
