Corriere della Sera weighed in on the Inter debate after the Nerazzurri failed to register a win yet again for the eighth consecutive game in Serie A. They go on to say: “this draw against Crotone, their fifth in a row, unleashes the anger of the fans who whistled and jeered the team at the end of the game. But the problems of Inter aren’t so obscure: they lack a style of play, rhythm and the right anger necessary to win these games. The honest Crotone side done every much better than Inter right from the start: they were tight and organised. Inter scored with Eder almost unexpectedly but never managed to control the game. A flat, soft, inconsistent team where nothing really works: the defence goes to sleep at the best moments, Borja Valero’s tiki-taka makes the play more predictable and Perisic is just irritating. The absence of Icardi, who was watching from the stands with wife Wanda, was felt and how, but this does not go anywhere close to justifying the free fall from the Nerazzurri. Again like last year with Pioli, the dreams die before the dawn, just before the most decisive part of the season.”
