Last night Inter played Crotone at home which of course like the following five games ended up in a draw, 1-1. Inter lacks the ability to be able to take on men and actually dribble past them instead of stringing together several passes. It’s understood that they play a very possessive game which involves a lot of passing but several times today Eder and Candreva were face to face with the opposition and they both cannot dribble past a man. You need that electrifying dribbling no matter how calm and collective you play, a team needs that spark of brilliance and it’s not normal that it’s solely the bench players who can bring that to the game.
When Rafinha came on he made sure to take on players which is will logically open up space and it was only then that Inter looked threatening. Rafinha was even able to link up nicely with Perisic to take that beautiful left footed shot that was brilliantly saved. Rafinha absolutely needs to start in the coming weeks because his pace, creativity, and dribbling ability will dictate the pace of the ball going forward. No matter how advanced Vecino’s carrying abilities are, that’s not his role and you need someone comfortable enough to carry dribble past and take that shot when necessary.
Karamoh and Cancelo’s introduction to the game also brought that electricity and dribbling ability which is what we lack. With just these three players being introduced to the game we already saw a more attacking mentality and less fear to make mistakes.
Perisic played a very poor game, it’s a shame to say that his confidence levels are on the floor, that poor player needs to find the back of the net very soon. His lack of confidence is very evident because on a normal day he’s easily one of the best two footed players but today, he had three clear cut chances in the box but he just couldn’t find it in him to put his laces through it cross body and win the game for the club.
If Mauro Icardi would have played, the outcome would have been very different, Icardi would have ended his drought because today, the day he wasn’t playing, there was an abundance of quality crosses reaching the box. Eder did his part, he played very well but it’s no debate that Icardi could make the difference over Eder any day of the week on one of those crosses especially towards the end.
When the team is in crisis, it’s up to the coach to switch thing around and shake the players. Conte did it last year with Chelsea and it’s time Spalletti does it.
Dambro – Skriniar – Miranda
Cancelo – Vecino – Gaglia/Borja – Perisic
Rafinha – Karamoh
Icardi
Drop the murderer of our counter attacks Valero. No reason to play him vs weaker teams. Play Gaglia as box to box where he is more comfortable with Vecino next to him sitting back in DMF. Start Rafinha which will give our wingers more space and open up space for Icardi also. And for God’s sake start Cancelo and Dalbert, I rather we draw with them than Dumbro/Santon.
yeah next week candreva and perisic will be starter again and again. and perisic will be on the field untill the end of the game just like a referee,he is the untouchable.. wondered if this is the same spalleti who bench “the legendary” totti. i am afraid he is not…
Same story different game. No creativity. Slowest build-up game in Europe I think. Spalletti keeps picking his “form” players and as usual he starts with the wrong team/formation which everyone has worked out. Cancelo our best player on the bench? Subs come on too late as usual, we we’re playing crap at half time and he should have made the changes then. He seems to be a very stubborn coach, be it tactics/players he has his team in his head and it’s near enough impossible to change that 11, even though we create hardly a clear chance with the same players he always picks. I keep saying what message does this send to our bench when both our wing duo are always starting games even when they are out of form, at least now you can add Vecino to this as well now? Valero needs a rest badly, nearly all his passes are sideways or backwards keep saying for about 7 games now. Whereas Cancelo is on the bench when he’s in form (must be demoralizing).Spalletti and players need to wake up. He needs to start with the 3 players that ended the match as subs.
Good team always having good “Mildfielder”, Faakkk for Vecino,Borja,Candreva,Brozovic they are too slow
need young, pace, speed players like karamoh, rafinha, gagliardini, cancelo
As much as I dislike Brozovic at least his first thought is a forwards pass. I’m more worried about our new signings Valero and Vecino and also include Gaglia they all either pass sideways or backwards or hesistate to play a killer pass or weight of the pass is poor at which point the other team is in position. Candreva & Perisic just need dropping for some games. Pick the 3 subs and maybe Emmers as he’s assisted I think 8 goals even it’s at reserve level I Don’t care, lets try something different. Spalletti has just had the guts to start Dalbert who cost €20 mill + however I don’t think he’s going to pick Emmers anytime soon, silly me
Bro, I agree on EVERY SINGLE WORD that u wrote.
#interiscomingdownagain..f u suning..#suningout
It’s not about Sunning, it’s about that stubborn bald man!
Somehow Spaletti still thinks there’s balance in this winless team and he’s too scared to change anything for the sake of it. We’ll see the same again in the next match but I doubt it’ll be a draw this time.
No matter what, Candreva and Brozo will start the next couple of games because RAFINHA, KARAMOH and CANCELO ARE NOT READY and they won’t ever be.
As much as it hurts… you are probably 100% right.
