Premium Sport spoke to Inter flop Gabriel Barbosa, who discussed his return to happiness after his move to Santos, back home in his native Brazil, after two negative experiences at Inter first and then at Benfica in Portugal. Here are the Brazilian’s words who had some strong words aimed at Inter: “When I arrived at Inter the coach spoke to me, but in a short time there were so many changes, especially on the bench. The club was not going through a good period, they preferred more experienced players and I understood that, so they did not let me play, they did not even give me five games in a row to see if I was really ready, to prove myself. This made me sad because I could not do what I love most which is playing football. I don’t think the expression ‘a fresh start’ is accurate, because for me it’s just getting back to being happy and able to play ”.

The striker cost €29.5m from Santos, but failed to get a single Serie A start and was loaned to Benfica. After six months in a similar situation, the Brazilian opted for a return on loan to his first club.
