Should Inter fail to qualify for the Champions League for another season, their objectives in the summer transfer window will drastically change according to the latest reports.
Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal remains an idea for the Nerazzurri but without being in European football’s premier club competition, signing him will be rather difficult. Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante would instead be pursued again and be the alternative to the Chilean midfielder if this happens Tuttosport detail.
Inter went after Cristante during last months transfer window and although they never found a deal with the Bergamo club, they have continued to keep tabs on him and he has been watched on a number of occasions since. Juventus are also understood to be interested in the 22-year-old, who is a product of Milan’s academy.
The Nerazzurri will look to take advantage of the good relations between the clubs in order to get a more favourable deal and may even include counterparts to further bring the price down.
Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira, Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella and Udinese’s Seko Fofana are three others that Inter could decide to go after if they do not make it in to the Champions League.
