Former Inter striker Ruben Sosa has previewed this weekend’s Milan derby in an exclusive interview with FCInterNews.it.
“For me winning the derby was like winning the title. The same could be said for the fans. I was one of them but he had the chance to take the field too. I think we will win 1-0 and let’s hope score in the last minute of the game.”
The Uruguayan, who played for Inter during the 1990s then spoke on his Inter.
“If you play for Inter you have to win something, or at least try to, every season. We won a very difficult and beautiful UEFA Cup. We were a wonderful group of top players and great men with an Italian base and high level foreigners.”
He concluded the interview by recalling the derby that sticks in his mind most.
“The second derby of the 1992/93 season. It finished 1-1. It was a beautiful race. We finished the season in second place, just behind Milan. But I am convinced that if we had won that match we would have won the Scudetto.”
