Roman newspaper Corriere dello Sport have pondered whether Lautaro Martinez will be replacing or accompanying Mauro Icardi at Inter once he joins from Racing Club in the summer.
“If these two begin to play together for the Argentine national team it will be of great benefit for Inter, as they will have to do it again next year in the Nerazzurri.”
They do however remind that interested in Icardi is high and there is no guarantee he will be with the Nerazzurri next season.
“Between the club and the striker there is a contract renewal at stake but it does not appear to be completely smooth. Above all, there is the release clause which is set at €110 million but destined to increase in case of a new agreement. Having taken Lautaro Martinez well in advance, in fact, it is already a sort of guarantee with respect to any eventuality that could happen.”
