Samir Handanovic will make his 234th appearance for Inter in this Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina, making him the goalkeeper with the fourth most appearances in Inter history.

The Slovenian shot stopper will overtake Gianluca Pagliuca and with three and a half years left on his contract, he will more than likely take over Julio Cesar (300 appearances) and Ivano Bordon (382 appearances) to put himself in to second place behind Walter Zenga (473 appearances).

Since arriving from Udinese back in the summer of 2012, the 33-year-old has continually put in solid performances and he has kept this up this season also. He has helped Inter to 10 clean sheets and has the third best save % in the league overall.

Handanovic also has a favourable Milan derby record since joining the Nerazzurri. Playing in 11 games, Handanovic has won four, drawn five and lost just two, keeping a clean sheet in four of the matches with the Rossoneri.
