It will not only be Arturo Vidal that Inter and Milan will battle it out for in the summer transfer window. According to a report from Tuttosport, the Milanese clubs will also fight for Mateo Kovacic’s signature.

Bayern Munich do not wish to lose Vidal on a free in the summer of 2019 so are looking to start a bidding war at €10 million this summer. A better price for the Chilean midfielder than both clubs would have perhaps expected but it has to be remembered that he currently earns €6 million per season in Bavaria.

Meanwhile, Kovacic has struggled to break in to the Real Madrid team since joining a few years ago and if the situation does not change in the near future he could request a move elsewhere. Inter made an attempt to bring the young Croatian back to San Siro in January but due to budgetary issues could not complete a deal.
