Geoffrey Kondogbia will leave Inter on a permanent basis in the summer with Valencia set to activate their purchase option on the midfielder following a meeting at the weekend according to reports coming out of Spain.
Spanish news outlet Super Deporte report that Kondogbia’s agent (his brother Evans) and another one of his representatives, met with the general manager of Valencia, Mateu Almany and the chairman of the club, Anil Murthy to discuss the player’s future at the club. The Valencia management reassured Kondogbia’s people that they would pay the €25 million redemption fee to keep Kondogbia at the club past this current season.
The French midfielder has re-found the form he displayed at Monaco which lead to Inter forking out around €40 million on him while at the Mestalla Stadium. The 25-year-old has played a total of 28 games for Valencia in all competitions since arriving in the summer, scoring four and assisting the same number.
