Bernard could sign a pre-contract agreement with Inter by the end of the month according to media reports coming out of the midfielder’s native Brazil.
According to Ora Bolas, negotiations between Inter, Bernard and his representatives have been ongoing for quite some time and all parties are now at the stage where they are discussing the duration of the contract.
The 25-year-old Brazilian, who Inter watched earlier in the week as his side faced Roma in the Champions League, is understood to have rejected rich offers from China in favour of continuing his career elsewhere in Europe, having also rejected Shakhtar Donetsk’s renewal offer.
Bernard aside, the Nerazzurri are eyeing up a number of other pre-contract signings also. Inter management are also looking at Lazio’s Stefan de Vrij, Juventus’ Kwadwo Asamoah and Bernard’s Shakhtar teammate Facundo Ferreyra with a view of landing them on a free transfer in the summer.
