Milan mayor Jacopo Sala has brought an update on the current situation regarding both Milan club’s postitions on their respective futures and plans for San Siro.

“The positions of each of the clubs are clear enough, but the solution is not clear,” Sala revealed in an interview with Radio Deejay. He continued, “Inter certainly wants to focus on San Siro, Milan wants to keep open the possibility of another stadium. From my point of view, I am telling the two teams to continue to reflect and to look at the various possibilities, but at a certain point I will have to tell the citizens that we have tried but at this moment we can not agree and then we stop. If I could decide, I would like to see San Siro refurbished. We have already brought the subway there.”

Milan have been the tenants of San Siro since it opened 92 years ago while Inter have called San Siro home since 1947.
