After Inter’s strong start and rapid demise from the top of the Serie A table, ex-Inter players have stepped forward to try motivate the team going forward in to the final stretch of the season where Champions League qualification remains the goal for the Nerazzurri.

Former Inter goalkeeper Francesco Toldo is the latest player to have shared some words of encouragement toward Luciano Spalletti and his side and did so in an interview with Inter TV earlier today.

“I am at Inter’s side, we are always here to cheer and we hope they can continue with these recent performances, accompanied by positive results.”

The 28-time Italian international shot stopper spent nine years with Inter between 2001-2010 making over 150 appearances in between the sticks. The now 46-year-old collected no less than a dozen trophies while part of the club and was part of Jose Mourinho’s side that famously won the triplete during the 2009/10 season.
