Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta spoke with TyC Sports on Lautaro Martinez and was full of praise for the striker who is set to join Inter.
“Lautaro is an impressive project, one of the best in the last few years. He has all the conditions to succeed. When I was his age age I did not know how to run, I envy him.
“At Inter they are waiting for him with open arms and Lautaro has all the conditions to be successful in Europe,” the former Inter striker concluded.
All parties involved barring Inter have already confirmed the 20-year-old’s summer switch to the Nerazzurri but Inter management have kept quiet and have not confirmed the deal yet.
The Argentine international has exploded on to the scene this season and as a result has been courted by some of world football’s best clubs. Inter fended off the wealth of competition and have landed Martinez for a fee of around €27 million.
