Former Inter defender Senna Miangue spoke to Belgian news outlet L’Avenir on the sidelines of the Belgian Under 21 national team training camp on his breakout at Inter under Frank de Boer.

The Belgian full back was one of the players sacrificed last year as the Nerazzurri needed to raise funds to avoid further financial fair play sanctioning. The 21-year-old was sold to fellow Serie A side Cagliari on the cheap and has made eight appearances for the Rossoblu this season.

“Frank de Boer really liked working with young people, so he gave me space, but when Stefano Pioli arrived I did not play any more. In the first six months in Cagliari I did not play a lot, but they wanted me very much. Moreover, in Cagliari I find myself better off than at Inter, where they always saw me as the little boy who came out of the Primavera.”
