Yuto Nagatomo’s performances on loan have lead to Galatasaray pursuing him on a permanent basis but he is now no longer the only left back under consideration by the Turkish giants.

According to a report from Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac, Bayern Munich defender Juan Bernat has opened the door to a potential switch to the 20 time Turkish Super Lig champions.

A lack of playing time this season with the Bavarian club is understood to be the driving factor behind the Spaniard looking for a new home. The 25-year-old has authorised his agent to continue talks with Galatasaray over a possible move.

While Bernat perhaps lacks the experience that Nagatomo has, he is 6 years younger and could be viewed as more desirable because of the fact Galatsaray can then plan with him in their side for the long term rather than the short term as would be the case with the Japanese international.
