During an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, George Gardi – the agent of former Internacional and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro – has discussed where his client’s future may lie, once his loan spell at Benevento comes to an end in May. Here is what he had to say:
“Sandro is now completely focused on Benevento’s final ten matches of the season; he came to Italy with great motivation. The Campania club have an option to buy him, which was decided at a particular time for his parent club, Antalyaspor. I do not think it reflects the current market value of the player.
“Inter? There have been requests from foreign teams, while in Italy it is true that several big clubs like him. There is a good chance he will stay in Serie A, perhaps even with Benevento.”
Only time will tell whether the Brazilian is able to help pull Roberto De Zerbi’s side out of trouble, as unlikely as it seems at the moment.
