The official parting ways of Walter Sabatini and Suning Sports could have an influence on the current deals between Inter and Valencia concerning the redemption of Joao Cancelo by the Nerazzurri.
Spanish media outlet Super Deportes reports that Valencia’s Marschiano and Sabatini were key factors in each of the transfers over the summer. Sabatini had also prevented Cancelo from returning to Spain in January according to the report.
As of now, the decision of the Nerazzurri has not changed: the Nerazzurri, despite the financial issues related to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play, would be in a position to exercise the redemption clause paying €35 million to make Cancelo’s move Inter permanent.
From now on, the story may change with Juventus ready to make a move for the Portuguese right back in case he slips from the hands of Piero Ausilio and Inter, according to Super Deportes. For what it’s worth, Valencia has received no news from its counterpart regarding its purchase intentions, nor has it had contact with the Bianconeri.
