Ahead of Wednesday’s Milan derby, Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio previewed the game in an interview with Mediaset Premium, where he firstly discussed Inter’s slump that they appear to be coming out of.
“We were missing out on the right results over the past two months but we were never lacking in terms of our desire to win. The coach motivates us every day and I am convinced that we will reach our objective with his advice. Ultimately, the results we were all hoping for are now coming back. We don’t concede goals and this is important because in front of us our attackers always find a way to make the difference. Winning helps, it builds confidence and allows us to train with a smile.”
He then moved on to the derby and spoke on the team as a whole.
“You play to win during derbies, while this one is also crucial in terms of consolidating our league position. We must look at ourselves and try to capitalise on the points still available. Icardi is our reference point. He is the captain and is added value to the team. The squad has always been united, while when we win we’re all happy.”
