Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is in contact with Sime Vrsaljko’s agent Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Riso over a potential summer transfer according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Ausilio is working on improving Inter’s full back department, an area that Inter have had many problems with in recent years.

The 26-year-old Croatian is deemed an ideal candidate but will not be easy to acquire from Atletico Madrid. Just two months ago, he and the Spanish club agreed to a contract extension that ties him to the club until 2022.

Relations between Inter and Riso are good following Roberto Gagliardini’s transfer two January transfer windows ago and these may play a crucial part in securing Vrsaljko, who has been linked with Inter for a number of years.

Moreover, FCInterNews.it report that Inter are discussing another of Riso’s clients with him, Udinese’s Jakub Jankto.

Inter are not alone in courting the Czech midfielder though with it understood that rivals Milan as well as Premier League club Arsenal are also interested.
