Andrea Ranocchia is expected to miss tomorrow night’s Derby della Madonnina through injury Gazzetta dello Sport report.

The centre back picked up an injury prior to the recent international break and also missed Saturday afternoon’s 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona.

The Milano based newspaper also report that the 30-year-old is aiming to be back available to manager Luciano Spalletti for this weekend’s fixture with Torino on Sunday at lunchtime at the Stadio Olmpico Grande Torino.

Ranocchia has played a bit part role this season but has put in a number of solid performances when called upon. The Italian has made just eight appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri but has helped Inter to four clean sheets when playing and has got on the score-sheet once.

The former Inter captain, who has been with the club since January 2011, is the only player who will miss tomorrow night’s Milan derby as things stand.
