According to the latest reports from Tuttosport, the future of Nerazzurri midfielder Marcelo Brozović hangs in the balance ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
The Croatian has been one of the team’s most important players in recent weeks since Luciano Spalletti took the decision to deploy him in a deeper midfield role due to the absence of Borja Valero.
He has been very consistent, showing quality and personality in abundance in the middle of the park. Fans have been critical of his attitude in the past, but there is no doubt he is one of the main reasons why UEFA Champions League qualification is in their own hands once again.
However, the club could still sacrifice him come the end of the season in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations before the deadline on June 30. Milan Škriniar and Mauro Icardi are considered untouchable unless a ridiculous offer comes in for either of them, hence Brozo may be deemed surplus to requirements.
