According to the latest reports from Corriere dello Sport, Rafinha will definitely start tonight’s crucial Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter at San Siro.

Having arrived on loan from Barcelona during the January transfer window, the Brazilian has secured his place in Luciano Spalletti’s starting XI and has swept away the doubts regarding his physical condition.

He is still monitored on a constant basis by the Nerazzurri’s medical team, but his presence against the Rossoneri is not in question. As usual, he will be deployed as a trequartista behind Mauro Icardi, with Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perišić either side of him.

Indeed, the 25-year-old is set to play for the second time this week and, should he feel the need to rest, he will be granted the opportunity to do so against Torino on Sunday afternoon. The club recognise the need to be cautious with him after spending so much of the last few seasons on the sidelines.
