Turin-based tabloid Tuttosport reports that Inter have cooled down their interest in Fiorentina’s Italian international winger Federico Chiesa.

According to the report the Nerazzurri deem the youngster as out of their reach given his price tag which Inter simply cannot afford given the restrictions put on the club thanks to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. However, Tuttosport reports furthermore that this also means that the Nerazzurri have instead set their sights on Bologna’s Italian international winger Simone Verdi.

Tuttosport reports that “the fact that Verdi declined Napoli in January also suggests that a move to Inter could be on the cards.” The Nerazzurri will try to make a move for the former AC Milan Primavera player when the transfer window opens this summer but will face stiff competition as Simone Verdi is reportedly also being targeted by AS Roma as well as La Liga outfit Sevilla and Premier League club Leicester City.
