Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic analyzed the heavy 1-0 defeat away against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino after a goal by former Nerazzurri player Adem Ljajic in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.
The former Udinese goalkeeper began by lamenting his team’s inability to score goals stating that: “Between the derby and today, one point is very little given the performances. Today we created ten goalscoring chances. Unfortunately football is like this and they punished us on their first chance.”
Handanovic was however carefully optimistic despite the defeat saying that: “The performance was there and I feel confident.”
In conclusion Handanovic, who made a couple of crucial saves to keep Inter’s deficit to just one goal, was asked about his thoughts regarding the difficulties Perisic and Candreva have had in converting chances to which he replied: “Perisic scored against Sampdoria. I don’t know, don’t ask me why Icardi is the only one that scores and the others don’t, I defend our goal. The fact that he is the only one that scores is a fact but we create many chances. Then someone will score.”
