Inter goalkeeper stopped by Inter TV to analyze the defeat away against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino thanks to a goal in the first half from former Inter player Adem Ljajic which proved enough to seal the three points on the day.
Handanovic was somewhat bitter stating that: “If we had played another 90 minutes the ball would still not have gone in. Sorry, but if you do not score you lose the match undeservedly. Today was just like the derby, we must have had six points but instead we only have one. There is a lack of meanness in front of goal, but the good performance remains despite a few pauses. There is little to complain about when you aren’t able to be more cynical.”
The former Udinese goalkeeper argued that despite the loss there were positive things the team can take away from the match: “It is a heavy result given what you saw but the performance remains. In the first 30 minutes we had four chances, a goal there and everything would have been different. The matches are difficult for everyone, it will be like this until the end. Bergamo, Genova, there are no easy matches in Italy, one knows this. We have to continue to play like this, then the points will arrive.”
