Manuel Fernandes is in talks with Lokomotiv Moscow about the possibility of extending his contract according to a report from the midfielder’s native Portugal.

O Jogo report that the 32-year-old, who Inter courted in January, has interest from other European clubs and also reveal that the player has yet to make a final decision on his future.

Fernandes has been with the Russian outfit since 2014 and still has just over a year remaining on his current deal but given his age, he may opt to seek a move away in the summer to enable him to play for a big club again before hanging up his boots. This season, Fernandes has scored 14 times and assisted six goals in 36 games across all competitions and played a key role as Lokomotiv sit top of the Russian premier league table.

Inter made a failed attempt for Fernandes during the January transfer window before going on to land Rafinha on loan from Barcelona.
