According to local newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo, Inter Vice-President Steven Zhang was recently seen eating at the popular restaurant Villa d’Alme alongside two Atalanta executives. What is not known, however, was the exact nature of the meeting. While it is possible that Zhang was there to discuss the transfer market, it is equally likely that the topic was a business collaboration between the Suning Group and the Percassi family.

The meeting comes at an interesting time, seeing as Inter and Atalanta are due to face off this Saturday at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia stadium. Inter will head into this match determined to break their two-match winless run and keep the pressure on both Roma and Lazio who will clash in the Derby della Capitale the following day. This will be a difficult contest for La Beneamata who have suffered a draw and a loss in their past two visits to Bergamo.
