Another day of training and more personalised programs for Antonio Candreva and Matias Vecino at Appiano Gentile. As reported by Premium Sport, the two players are still dealing with annoying injury niggles, but should be available for Luciano Spalletti’s team when they face Atalanta this Saturday evening.

With the suspension of Croatian Marcelo Brozovic, it is possible that Vecino will be partnered with Roberto Gagliardini in the midfield. This tandem (along with Borja Valero) served the Nerazzurri well in the first part of the season, but have not started a game together since the 1-1 draw with Roma in January.

As for Candreva his spot on the right-hand side could be filled by either Yann Karamoh or even Eder if he does not recover in time.

The injuries come at a key time for Inter as they face an Atalanta side still competing to qualify for the Europa League. Given the Rome derby takes place the following day, a win for Inter will see them return to the Champions League places.
