Inter want to turn Joao Cancelo’s temporary stay in to a permanent one and are taking no chances when it comes to trying to redeem him, so much so that they have two ideas as to how they may be able to manage it Spanish news outlet Plaza Deportiva report.

The Nerazzurri’s first idea is to try and extend the Portuguese’s loan for a further season and then redeem him in the summer of 2019. Whether that redemption option would be forced in the contract is as yet unknown.

Their second idea is to try and barter with Valencia and get the 23-year-old’s redemption fee down from €35 million to €25 million. However, if other reports in the media are to be believed, Inter getting a discount on Cancelo could come at the cost of forfeiting a 25% sell on fee for midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia who is currently on loan with the Spanish outfit.
