Mauro Icardi will have his Inter contract renewed either immediately after the season ends or at some point during the summer according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Argentine striker however is currently fully focused on getting Inter in to the Champions League and the next match with Juventus. Icardi has proved to be somewhat of a kryptonite to Juventus since his Sampdoria days often scoring when he faces them. He is well aware that reaching the Champions League goal would be made a lot easier if they are to be victorious in Saturday night’s Derby D’Italia at the San Siro.

Details of the expected contract renewal are currently unknown but it can be presumed that the €110 million foreign release clause currently in his contract will either be increased significantly or removed entirely in a bid to deter interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
