He may have spent Saturday night watching Inter’s clash against Juventus from the bench, but Kwadwo Asamoah chances of playing regularly at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza next season are very high.

According to Italian media ooutlet Calciomercato.com, the free transfer to Inter from Juventus on July 1st is almost entirely defined. Recently, we have learned that the player could just as easily have been wearing the colours of the Rossoneri next season.

Indeed, Milan have been following the player since the winter transfer window and even met with the full back’s agent Federico Pastorello. AC Milan Director Massimo Mirabelli was involved, however the idea did not come to fruition because of the slowness of the negotiations between the club and the player’s representatives. This delay allowed Inter to intercept the Ghanaian with a concrete offer of €3 million over three years.

Asamoah, who can play at left back, left wing and central midfielder has found less playing time under Massimo Allegri this season making only 24 appearances, hence the decision to move on at the end of his contract. He has been at Juventus since 2012.
