Rafinha’s Father: “Rafinha Is Happy At Inter”

Mazinho, Inter midfielder Rafinha’s father and one of his representatives, spoke with Brazilian news outlet Esports COPE on his son’s future at the San Siro.

“His stay depends on Inter,” Mazinho, the 1994 World Cup winner with Brazil admitted. “It depends on whether the club qualifies for the Champions League or not and if they are happy with him.”

Mazinho proceeded to discuss Rafinha’s feelings about Inter at the moment and gave an injury recovery update.

“Rafinha is happy at Inter, he is working very well. We are very happy in Milan. Rafa has grown a lot and is completely recovered and able to play the full 90 minutes.”

The 25-year-old arrived from Barcelona on an initial six month loan deal with Inter having the option to redeem him for €35 million (plus a further €3 million in bonuses). The Brazilian has made 14 appearances for the Nerazzurri and has tallied three assists in that time.
