Inter are expected to deposit the contracts of summer signings Stefan De Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah over the next few days, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

De Vrij and Asamoah are both out of contract with Lazio and Juventus at the end of the current season and have both been secured as free agents by the Nerazzurri, who have identified them as ideal reinforcements in defence ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Inter’s next moves on the transfer market this summer will depend largely on whether or not they can secure qualification for the Champions League, as well as the parameters they are obliged to respect regarding UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

The club reportedly need to raise €50 million in player profits before 30 June and will therefore be required to ‘work in a profound and intelligent manner’, which could leave them looking to sell players whose initial transfer fees have been fully amortised, such as Marcelo Brozovic and Eder.

Another option as they seek to balance the books would be to sell a selection of their academy players who have offers, such as Xian Emmers, Nicolo Zaniolo, Jens Odgaard and Andrea Pinamonti.
