Inter are monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in Portugal.

Sanches has spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Premier League side Swansea City where he has endured a difficult year, making just 15 appearances in all competitions and missing the last four months of the campaign through injury.

Despite this, Diario De Noticias believe that the 20 year-old, who played a starring role in Portugal’s triumph at Euro 2016 and was voted Young Player of the Tournament, has attracted Inter’s attention as they look to strengthen their midfield for the following season.

Sanches also has admirers in England, however, as newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be equally interested in signing the player.

The Portuguese news outlet believes Bayern’s asking price could prove a stumbling block for both clubs, though. The Bundesliga giants signed the midfielder from Benfica for €35 million only last summer and would reportedly not consider offers inferior to €20 million.
