Valencia are in talks with Inter over a deal to sign striker Eder, according to FcInterNews.

The Spanish club have expressed a strong interest in acquiring the Italian-Brazilian forward ahead of the following season while the Nerazzurri are willing to enter into negotiations, although the clubs are currently distant in terms of the formula.

Valencia would be keen to take the 31 year-old on a free loan with an option to buy, the same formula they used to sign Geoffrey Kondogbia last summer, while Inter want to sell him either on a permanent basis or with a paid loan and an obligation to buy for around €10 million.

Inter are hoping that they could use an eventual deal for Eder to lower Valencia’s asking price for full-back Joao Cancelo, whom they would like to bring back to Milan after signing him on loan for the 2017-18 season.

However FcInterNews believes that they would also be willing to reach a deal that stands apart from any other negotiations.

Eder’s current contract with Inter expires in 2021 and sees him earning €2 million per year in wages, with the player’s entourage looking for a similar offer from Valencia. They could agree to accept the same figure if Los Che added another year onto his contract, taking him to 2022.
