Inter have offered a four-year deal to Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman as they look to lure the Dutch midfielder away from the capital, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Strootman made 44 appearances for the Giallorossi during the 2017-18 season and has emerged as one of Luciano Spalletti’s primary targets for this summer’s transfer window, as Inter look to reinforce their midfield ahead of next season’s return to the Champions League.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that they have offered the player, who is managed by the same agency that represent fellow Dutch international and future Inter defender Stefan De Vrij, a four-year contract worth €3 million per year in wages.

Roma have informed the Nerazzurri that Strootman, who turned 28 in February, would be available for a fee in the region of €30 million, with the club now willing to countenance a departure after previous summers in which they had insisted he was not for sale.

Strootman has made 129 appearances for Roma since signing from PSV Eindhoven in 2013, scoring 13 goals and providing 20 assists, and has 40 senior international caps to his name.
