Bordeaux’s sporting director Ulrich Rame has confirmed that Inter target Malcom could leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian has scored 23 goals in 96 appearances since joining the French outfit from Corinthians in January 2016 and is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football, with several top clubs prepared to battle it out for his signature this summer.

Inter are amongst those interested in signing the 21 year-old winger as they aim to secure a replacement for Antonio Candreva on the right-hand side of attack, with club representatives meeting the player’s agent over the weekend.

Speaking to L’Equipe on Tuesday, former France international Rame confirmed that there is a chance Bordeaux could sell Malcom before the start of the following season.

“There’s a chance that he stays,” he said, “just as there is a chance that Bordeaux no longer have him in their squad next season. Wolfsburg are one of the clubs interested in the player, along with other big clubs that want him.

“Malcom has been a great player for us this season. Now he’s considering what’s in his best interests; he knows what he has here [at Bordeaux].”
