Former Inter striker Hernan Crespo spoke to Inter TV about Inter’s return to the UEFA Champions League.

“The important thing is that the goal has been achieved, Inter deserves to be in the Champions League. Let’s say that the season has not been easy, but I’m happy for the people at Inter, we deserved this goal.”

The Argentine then spoke on the Champions League.

“I think this is a fundamental path for the goals that Inter have, that is, to permanently be in the Champions League. Everyone will have to get used to this competition and we’ll see what happens in the mercato during the summer.”

Crespo proceeded to reveal his favourite memory from his time in an Inter jersey.

“I remember the double header with Ajax, even if I forget some situations, but they were very intense years anyway.”

Finally, he spoke on Mauro Icardi being snubbed by Argentina for the upcoming World Cup.

“Mauro does not argue. Now that he is not going to the World Cup he will have to demonstrate internationally what he is made of so that he will have a stable place in the national team in the years to come.”
