Kevin Strootman reaffirmed his commitment to Roma by swerving a question on his future to the best of his ability following the Netherlands 1-1 draw with Italy last night.
“Let’s talk about the National team for now, not about anything else. I have a four year contract at Roma and I am happy there,” he told gathered reporters post match.
The Dutchman has come in to links with Inter in recent weeks ahead of the summer transfer opening up in a few weeks time. Inter are understood to have shortlisted the 28-year-old as they look to reinforce their squad in a number of areas so to help them compete on three fronts next season. The central midfielder would not only bring a wealth of Serie A experience but a wealth of Champions League playing experience also, something the current Inter squad on the whole lacks barring a handful of players at most.
