Galatasaray vice-president Abdurrayim Albayrak is expected to come to Milan in the coming days to hold talks with Inter management about signing Yuto Nagatomo as per reports circulating in Turkey.

The Japanese full back spent the second half of the season on loan at the Cimbom, who were crowned Turkish Super Lig Champions during his spell with the club. The 31-year-old made a big impression on the Galatasaray management and has left them wanting to turn his stay in Istanbul in to a permanent one.

Inter could use the sale of the former Cesena defender toward meeting their Financial Fair Play requirements that means Inter must raise upwards of €40 million in capital gains to break even and keep in line with the settlement agreement reached with UEFA. The sale of Nagatomo could raise as much as €5 million and while not a substantial amount, every little does of course help the Nerazzurri’s cause.
