Inter are preparing to sit down with manager Luciano Spalletti, club captain Mauro Icardi and veteran defender Miranda to hold talks over new contracts with the club as per a report from news agency ANSA.

Talks between Inter management and Spalletti have been going on for quite some time over an extended deal and any day now Spalletti could sign the contract and an announcement could be made. Spalletti’s current deal, which was signed last summer, has him connected to Inter until next summer but off the back of him guiding Inter back in to the Champions League, Suning would appear to be giving Spalletti the new contract as a reward for his success.

Icardi’s contract talks were underway but put on hold while the striker holidays in South Africa with wife and agent Wanda Nara but talks are expected to resume upon their return to Milan shortly. The 25-year-old striker’s current contract is to 2021 but due to ever present interest in his services, Inter wish to try and deter interest with a new contract that is almost certainly going to see his €110 million foreign club release clause raised.

Despite rumours of a possible departure in wake of Stefan de Vrij’s pending arrival at the club, Miranda is set to be handed a one-year extension which will tie him down to the club through to the end of the 2019/20 season.
