Inter are ready to make an offer of €16 million for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele according to a report from British newspaper the Express.
The Nerazzurri are offering this amount due to Dembele having just a year left on his deal and being well aware that they could just acquire him for free in the summer of 2019. Spurs however do not seem so keen on this proposal and are instead looking for around double that to part ways with the Belgian who is one of Inter’s top summer transfer targets.
The Express further report that the 30-year-old is looking for an annual salary of €4.5 million from Spurs, who are eager to tie him down to a new contract but it is as yet unclear whether they are willing to meet his demands.
Dembele, who can play as a central, defensive and attacking midfielder, made 39 appearances across all competitions for the north London club and has been included in Roberto Martinez’s Belgium squad for the World Cup.
