Joao Mario could play a part in helping Inter to the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Both players are involved with Kia Joorabchian and the Iranian agent could offer Spurs Joao Mario’s services as part of a deal that would see Dembele move to the San Siro.

The Milan based newspaper further report that Spurs are intent on signing Dembele to a new contract however with just 12 months remaining on his current deal. The management of the north London club wish to tie him down for a number of years and Gazzetta suggest it could be until as long as the end of the 2022/23 season.

Other reports in the media have suggested Dembele has no interest in remaining as part of the Spurs team and is looking out for one last big payday before hanging up his boots, something he could get by moving elsewhere.
