Club officials from Premier League side West Ham have made an enquiry to Barcelona with regard to the availability of midfielder Rafinha as per Spanish news outlet Sport.
The player however ultimately wishes to return to Inter following a successful six month loan spell but financial fair play has stopped Inter from making any serious progress in negotiations with Barcelona. Another meeting between Inter and Barcelona is scheduled to take place in the coming week but it is understood that Inter are primarily focused on dealing with meeting their financial fair play requirements first.
Rafinha, 25, made a total of 17 appearances during his loan spell at the San Siro and has made no secret of the fact that he wishes to continue with the Nerazzurri.
Other reports circulating in the media have suggested Barcelona want a straight up cash deal but Inter wish to acquire Rafinha on a loan with redemption option basis again.
